Our students have achieved outstanding results in the 9th National Water Conservancy Innovation Design Competition

On July 23, the China Water Resources Education Association announced the results of the 9th National College Students 'Water Resources Innovation Design Competition. This competition was organized by the China Water Resources Education Association and hosted by Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, attracting 428 teams from 160 universities across the country to compete. After rigorous formal reviews, online evaluations, and on-site finals, our college's participating teams performed outstandingly, winning one grand prize, one first prize, and one second prize. Meanwhile, teachers Hu Yating and Li Lianghui were awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award, fully demonstrating our college's comprehensive strength in cultivating innovative talents in new engineering disciplines.

In the intense competition, our institute's student projects received strong recognitionfrom judges for their innovative concepts, technical sophistication, and practical value. The project entitled "Dao Fa Zi Ran: A Multifunctional Bionic Hub Facility for Low Weir Water Elevation in Small and Medium Rivers" (supervised by Hu Yating and Li Lianghui), developed by Xiao Disheng, Ai Chuhan, Tao Ran, Gou Yuhang, and Luo Xiaoyan, won the Grand Prize. This design embodies an eco-friendly water management approach, offering an innovative solution to address challenges in small and medium river governance. The first prize was awarded to the project entitled "Digital Twin Water Environment Monitoring System for Small Hydropower Clean-up and Rectification" (supervised by Huang Wei and Gu Ping) by Wang Luyao, Zhu Liang, Huang Qifeng, Wang Yiwei, and Wan Kexin, which focuses on cutting-edge smart water management technologies. The second prize went to the project entitled "Hanging Bridge Sky Eye: An Intelligent Hydrological Station Coupling Radar and Video Imaging" (supervised by Xiong Bin and Xu Fugang) by Wu Han, Xie Shenyuan, Ning Yike, Tang Ziyi, and Lei Siying, which made valuable explorations in intelligent hydrological monitoring.
